Histoire d’Eux is a collective of artists founded in 2005 by director Yannick Toussaint.Our work is resolutely focused on puppetry – a world we dive into with delight, given the richness and variety of its many forms. We also draw upon our knowledge of theatre and contemporary playwrights. All our shows share a sense of humor and a touch of poetry. They are content-rich and thoughtful, while remaining simple and engaging in form. In short, we are committed to creating shows that are both popular and inventive.

Hybrid and Original Forms
The desire that led to the founding of our company – and still drives us today – is to create theatre that raises powerful questions, presented in ways that are accessible to as many people as possible. Through our work, we aim to champion the idea that culture – and puppetry in particular – can bring people together and speak to everyone.
In Direct Connection with Our Audiences
From the illustrious Théâtre des Frères Sabbattini, our shows share a common immersive or participatory character – and sometimes both. Above all, through our scenographic work and thought-provoking artistic choices, we invite audiences to dive into our world. Because there’s nothing more delightful than leaving a live performance with the feeling of returning from a dream or a great journey.
Custom Creations
The company offers three types of services tailored to specific requests:
Thematic Show Creation
Creating a show based on a theme defined by the commissioning body (communities, associations, schools, etc.)
Ateliers et formations en marionnette
From simple discovery sessions to the complete creation of a show: introduction, puppet building and manipulation (hand puppets, shadow theatre, object theatre).
Open to all audiences: schools, special needs institutions, retirement homes…
Scenographic Design
Design and creation of custom sets, structures and installations for events (festivals, parades, performances, etc.).

Our Workspace
The Fabrique des Clairs Chênes is the space provided to us by the Moselle et Madon community of communes. The space is large enough to accommodate all our activities: storage, creation, rehearsals, and offices. We moved into the space in November 2015.
